TVi Colour

What is it?

The TVi Colour is an electronic magnifier for people who need text and photos magnified.  It uses a small hand held mouse camera with a zoom function that connects to a standard TV and allows the level of magnification to be altered without re-focusing.  the magnified image is displayed in full colour or enhanced black and white.  The camera has easy glide pads which facilitate easy scanning of text, and its mobility allows difficult-to-read items such as medicine bottles, cooking instructions etc to be magnified easily.

Benefits

Unlike other similar devices, the TVi Colour has variable magnification and enhances standard print producing a high contrast image.  This image can be viewed in positive, (black on white) or negative (white on black).  This type of enhanced image is essential, especially for people with Macular Degeneration.
